Writing courses to get you published.
Historic Macon is excited to host American writer, naturalist, and environmental activist Janisse Ray for a special Writer Talk on May 31 at 10 a.m.
A place has a story and a person has a story, and something important is happening at the intersection of the two. Janisse Ray is passionate about place, and her place is the coastal plains of southern Georgia. She will talk about why place matters and why embark on a journey to become a scholar of your place.
A deep relationship with place will deepen your sense of belonging, build more meaning into your life, and strengthen the fabric of living things around you. But questions abound—How do we live in place? How do we get to know our place? How do we feel grounded? What happens to us if we live a life without a relationship to any place? Can we have more than one place? What if we’re out of place?
Come hear Janisse’s engaging talk on the important of place in our lives.
