I am so happy to be giving the Ann J. Abadie Lecture in Southern Studies at the Thirty-Second Oxford Conference for the Book this spring. I knew Ann well and enjoyed many conversations with her. She was a quiet force and a lovely person.

This lecture is the opening keynote of this iconic conference and will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in Nutt Auditorium on the University of Mississippi campus. You will need to register.

I highly recommend this book conference. It takes place March 25-27. Consider coming.
